The Swing · capture → review

See what your
swing is doing.

Stop guessing at your faults from feel. Record on the one camera you already own, get it on your iPad the instant you finish, and study it frame by frame until you know what's really happening.

01

One camera — no extra gear

Your iPhone is the only camera you need. Prop it up face-on or down-the-line and record at up to 240fps.

02

On your iPad, instantly Direct

Every clip transfers the moment you stop, over a direct encrypted link between the two devices. No cables, no cloud.

03

Live mirror & coach station

Mirror your iPhone's view to the iPad in real time, so you — or a coach — can watch every swing as it happens and mark it up remotely.

04

Slow motion & frame-by-frame

Scrub to the exact frame and step through one at a time — at the clip's true frame rate, so 240fps means 240 real frames of the downswing.

05

Draw, compare & overlay

Draw lines and angles on the swing, set two swings side by side in sync, and toggle reference-line and hand-path overlays.

On your own footage
Analyze · the skeleton

Your body, tracked
joint by joint.

Record a swing and Certus draws the full skeleton over your own footage — hips, shoulders, arms, hands — frame by frame through the whole motion.

Scrub to any frame and see exactly where everything was. No sensors, no suit, no studio: the iPhone you already own.

The overlay is the measurement.Turn, tilt and sway numbers come from the same skeleton you can see with your own eyes — when it looks right, the numbers are.
Analyze · positions

Address, top and impact
— found for you.

The three positions every lesson talks about are detected automatically. Tap one and the video jumps there — no scrubbing back and forth hunting for the strike.

At 240fps that matters: impact is one frame out of hundreds, and Certus lands on it.

Analyze · impactReal capture
A face-on swing paused exactly at impact, with playback tools alongside.
One frame out of hundreds.Paused on the strike, automatically. The moment coaches ask about is one tap away.
Compare · two swings

This week,
against your best.

Put any two swings side by side — or ghost one over the other — and step both in sync, frame by frame.

Filmed from different distances? Scale one to match the other. Different tempos? They stay locked to the same positions anyway.

Compare · side by sideReal capture
Two swings side by side at address in the compare view, with A, Both and B buttons and shared playback controls to step both in sync.
Same position, same frame.Isolate A, isolate B, or watch both — the differences stop being a feeling and start being visible.
Coach · draw on it

Mark it up like
a lesson.

Draw lines, angles and freehand notes straight on the video — swing plane, shaft lean, head movement — and they stay with the clip.

Pair an iPad as a coach station and the marking-up happens live, at arm’s length, while the player swings.

Two modes. One live view.

Measured, not eyeballed
M1

Thirty-plus swing measurements

Chest and pelvis turn, X-factor, shoulder tilt, side bend, spine angle, sway and slide in real inches, hand path, arm angles, tempo and swing timing — computed from every clip you record, no sensors to wear and nothing clipped to your glove.

M2

Accuracy mode LiDAR

On Pro iPhones, Accuracy mode records depth alongside the video — real distances, not estimates. That anchors the skeleton to real-world scale, so sway reads in true inches and hand speed in true miles per hour, and rotation is measured against real depth instead of a guess.

M3

Honest numbers, labeled Trust

Every measurement carries its confidence. Depth-anchored numbers are badged ANCHORED; monocular estimates are badged VISUAL ESTIMATE. When a camera angle can't physically see a movement, Certus greys the number out and tells you why — it never quietly reports a figure nobody should trust.

M4

The right angle for the job

Face-on is the honest view for sway, slide, and side bend. Down-the-line is the honest view for turn and plane. Each measurement is tagged with the angles it's valid from, so you always know which clip to film for the question you're asking.

M5

All of it on your device

Pose detection, measurement, and analysis run on the iPhone itself. Your swing videos are yours — analysis doesn't require shipping your body's motion to someone else's server.

R1

Review: built for study

Pinch to zoom into your grip, pan while zoomed, step frames with a fingertip. The chrome fades when you play, and one tap brings it back. Watching at quarter speed on a 240fps clip is one minute of footage per second of swing.

R2

Telestration that keeps up

Freehand pen, straight lines, and angles, drawn right on the frame. Annotations stick to the clip and travel with it — mark a swing up on the iPhone and the drawing arrives intact when you review it on the iPad.

R3

Compare, properly

Two swings side by side, each independently scaled and positioned so the golfers match size — or ghosted on top of each other with a fade slider. Sync them once and they step through together, frame for frame.

R4

Overlays on demand

Reference lines for spine and shaft plane, a traced hand path, and a clubhead trail when you ask for it — drawn from the measured skeleton, so they move with the swing instead of sitting on top of it.

R5

Auto-analysis, overnight

Favorite a clip and Certus analyzes it in the background — plugged in, on Wi-Fi, without cooking your battery. Open the app in the morning and the measurements are waiting.
